This broadcast, another in a series of new programs that marked the full-time return of PIPEDREAMS to the national airwaves in 1983, features elements from a festival concert by the Choir of St. Thomas Church, recorded July 2, 1982. Gerre Hancock directed the choir as he was at that time music director at St. Thomas Church. The organ accompaniment and solo was played by Judith Hancock.
The Cathedral organ at that time was a 1951 Möller of 4 manuals and 65 stops. It has since been replaced.
On-location recordings were engineered by Curt Wittig.
