Created for a Centennial Exhibition in Philadelphia, Opus 828 by the Boston firm of E. & G.G. Hook & Hastings was purchased at the exhibit’s close and moved to Buffalo. Following more than a century of use, and a period of some decline, the organ enjoyed a major rehabilitation by the Andover Organ Company in 2001, which expanded its musical potential while retaining much of its original historic character.
